AI and Author Rights Statement

Human creativity is precious, and a writer’s voice and ideas should always be their own.

I will not enter any part of the work you send me into generative AI apps or platforms, such as ChatGPT or Google Gemini, and I do not use AI tools in the editing process. AI assistants are also disabled in my email account, Microsoft Word preferences and pdf viewer.

Before working with you, I will require you to confirm that the work you are sending me is your own creation, and that it has not been produced by generative AI software. I view this as my ethical obligation in an industry that is becoming more and more inundated with AI-generated work, to the detriment of writers and readers everywhere.

Any work you send me is your own and I have no claim to any of the rights thereto.

I will not share any details or extracts of your work to any third parties, unless this is with your explicit, written consent, or for legal reasons as laid out in my privacy policy.
